Chapter 3 I Am Not A Prostitute

  • The manager led me to his office and announced that he had brought me here as he stood respectfully next to him.
  • Mr. Mu just waved his hand without even raising his head as he sat in his chair reading some documents.
  • With that, the manager stepped out of the office. I wanted to leave as well, but the manager motioned for me to stay and closed the door behind him. It was only the two of us left in the office, and I lowered my head further.
  • I hoped he wouldn't recognize me, but a part of me wanted him to. I wasn't even sure of what I wanted.
  • Then, I heard footsteps approaching me and he soon stood before me. I continued to keep my head low.
  • “Raise your head.” His voice was attractive but cold at the same time, and had no emotion in it.
  • I slowly raised my head to look at him.
  • “What a coincidence. We meet again.” His tone sounded condescending and flirtatious.
  • So, he had recognized me after all! I felt my face burning and wished the earth would open up and swallow me whole, but I tried my best to keep calm. “I think you have mistaken me for someone else, Mr. Mu. We haven't met before.”
  • I wasn't trying to deny what had happened, but what we had was a mere business transaction. I didn't want to have anything to do with him, now that the deal was over. Besides, I also didn't want him to think that I was trying to get together with him or anything.
  • A man like him was probably used to having all the women cling to him, so he was very dissatisfied with my reply and his tone grew colder, “I want to question the Human Resource department as to why a hotel call girl has made her way into a company owned by Mu Group.”
  • I couldn't help but raise my head as I retorted, “I'm not a prostitute!”
  • He smiled contemptuously, “So you're an amateur. No wonder you didn't even know how to moan in bed.”
  • I felt my face flush again as I looked down at the ground. I walked out of the office as I refused to let him continue insulting me like that.
  • I heard him mock me from behind. “Trying to hold your head high after being a whore?”
  • I pretended to not hear it as I fled from his office, but his handsome face kept filling my mind after I returned to my post.
  • I cursed at myself for being so stupid, thinking about a man that disgusting.
  • When it was finally time to get off work, I punched out and rushed toward the nearest bus stop. The platform was very crowded as it was rush hour. They rushed forward before the bus had come to a complete halt. I was unable to get on even after multiple attempts.
  • I grew increasingly anxious as I thought of Xiaoyang who was waiting for me in the hospital.
  • A Porsche pulled up next to me, and I saw his face again when he rolled down the window.
  • He didn't say a word and just motioned at me to get in the car. I hesitated for a bit, but got into his car anyway.
  • “Where are you going?” he asked.
  • “Huadong Hospital.”
  • “I'm going the same way.” He said.
  • And we spent the rest of the ride in silence, as he didn't speak and I didn't know what to say either. The atmosphere in the car was really awkward.
  • After we arrived at Huadong Hospital, I bowed and thanked him for the ride, but he just ignored me and sped off.
  • What a strange man. Didn't he say he was going in the same way? Why did he go the other way?
  • When I got to the ward, I saw another person in Xiaoyang's bed.
  • I was shocked and shouted his name as I frantically searched around the hospital for him, but couldn't find him.
  • In the end, I asked the receptionist at the front desk and they told me that he had been discharged earlier in the afternoon by his guardian who had also refunded the remaining amount of his medical bill.
  • I told them that that was impossible because I was his guardian, but they said that it was the child's father. Furthermore, he was able to prove his identity and they had no choice but to do as told.
  • I thought about it and realized that it must have been the work of that scumbag, Liu Jun. I called his phone but he wouldn't answer. I had no choice but to go back to that house.
  • Both Liu Jun and my mother-in-law were at home. However, I couldn't find my son even after searching through all the rooms.
  • I asked Liu Jun where my son was, and he slapped me across the face, “You b****! You cheated on me and you dare come to me asking for your child? As if Xiaoyang would accept a whore like you as his mother?!”
  • I slapped him angrily in return, “You're the shameless one! You got him discharged and even refunded his medical bills! Give me back my child!”
  • Liu Jun grabbed me by the hair and dragged me in front of the computer screen and pointed at it, “You're still denying it? The video is already being spread on the internet! Lin Anan, you'd better pay me a million for the emotional distress you've caused me or you'll never see your son ever again!”
  • My brain went blank as I saw that it really was me in the photographs. They were taken at the hotel, and the angle was good enough to capture me entering the room with him.
  • How could this happen? Was it the hotel staff that took the photos and uploaded them?
