• People drifted in and out of the subway entrance. Most hurried past—street buskers were everywhere, nothing new. Still, a few paused, curious, because Huang Wanting’s voice really stood out. Plus, the sanitation worker holding up his phone to record so earnestly caught people’s eyes.
• A couple walked by hand in hand. The girl watched them sing, intrigued, then pulled out her phone and started filming, serious as could be. But Huang Wanting and Chadwick Fullner—one playing, one singing—were so focused they didn’t notice. After a bit, the girl’s eyes suddenly went wide. She lowered her phone, tugged her boyfriend closer, stared for a long second, then shouted at Huang Wanting, “Miss Belinda! You’re Miss Belinda, aren’t you?”
• The girl rushed up, thrilled. “Miss Belinda, why did you quit showbiz? Everyone thought you vanished. Why are you here busking?”
