Chapter 1348 Falling in Love Again (Part 2)

So no one brought it up. They both tried not to think about it. Life went on like before. In front of Finn, they kept things easy and close—close enough to pass for old friends or family. But lovers? They both knew it looked like just one thin veil between them, yet neither wanted to pierce it. If they did, how would they end it, how would they face everyone else? That was a weight they couldn’t carry.
With regular hypnosis, other treatments, and the careful, constant company of Chadwick Fullner and Samantha Wembley, Finn slowly got better. At least he could now talk and interact with Chadwick Fullner and Samantha Wembley like a normal kid. With others, not yet—he still spooked and shrank back—but compared to before, the change was huge. At the very least, Samantha now heard him call Mommy and Daddy every day, felt him hug her first. That alone made her so happy she could cry.
As Finn improved, the doctor started suggesting, “Physically, there’s nothing major wrong. Best to take him home. Let him get out into the world more, deal with people, and slowly blend in. That’ll help him recover faster. A hospital’s too closed off. He can’t meet many people here, so it won’t help much. My view is: discharge him, let him rest at home, and bring him back once a week for checkups and treatment.”
