• Chadwick Fullner found a flat patch of ground, spread the coat he’d brought, and sat down with Madison Sawyer, the two of them pressed close. Right now, all he had to do was lift his head and the sky exploded with stars. Not far away, there were faint flames, music, and laughter. And right beside him was the person he loved most. It was perfect. Madison let out a long, contented sigh and leaned on Chad’s shoulder. “Chad, no matter what happens from here on out, no matter what we go through, I can always say I was truly happy in this life.
