Even if you showed up right now and told me to sling my guitar, sing a set, then hit barbecue and beer, I’d be in, no questions asked. But it has to be your choice, not getting forced out of the industry. And about your reputation—sure, truth speaks for itself, and you know, I know, and the folks who believe in you know who you are. That doesn’t mean we let people dump dirt on you. No way we let them get away with hurting you. We fight back. And when it’s over, if you still feel this life isn’t what you want, I’ll stick with you while you choose your own path.”
“You’ll stick with me?” Tina caught the key words, teasing with a laugh. “Sounds like you’re saying we’re gonna shack up and live out our days.”
