Chapter 1273 The Storm Is Coming (III)

  • Penrose’s face kept shifting, and little Man was on the verge of tears. She whispered, “Belinda,” shooting frantic glances, but Tina didn’t even look her way. Tina knew exactly what Penrose meant by “planning an artist’s development.” If nothing unexpected happened, Penrose would have a few songs written for Wu and the others, pull some strings, and package them with trendy looks and a fashionable persona to boost exposure and pull in fans. Then would come a flood of commercial gigs. Sure, Wu and the boys would get famous, but they’d have zero time or energy to focus on making music. Down the road, that path wouldn’t last.
  • That was exactly what Tina was facing now. Too many appearances and schedules had drained her dry. Any time she stopped, all she wanted was sleep. She had no time left to write songs. She didn’t want Wu and the others getting shoved onto that track so fast, especially when their foundation was still shaky. Burn them out too early, and they’d crash even faster. They were such promising kids—she refused to watch them get harvested for quick cash.
  • “And which level signed off on this?” Tina asked. “Why didn’t anyone ask Wu and the others first? How can you make that call without them?”
