• “Tell me that scumbag’s name and where he is.” Chadwick Fullner snarled. He wouldn’t let a creep like that walk away. Even if he had to beat him bloody himself, he’d make sure the guy never dared do something that heartless again.
• “Enough.” Kate Penrose waved him off. “I already roughed him up plenty, seriously—you know me. He’s scared out of his wits now. This kind of thing, that’s all you can do. Don’t go charging in and making trouble for yourself. Right now Miss Sawyer and my uncle’s family are counting on you. And think for a second—what matters more? Dumping Miss Sawyer to hunt down that jerk for a quick punch? What if something blows up here while you’re gone?”
