Chapter 73 THE FESTIVAL

  • After what she found out, Devon would admit that she felt scared. She was fearing the unknown before and now that it’s cleared, it made her bothered more. It made her worried at what Helena said. Between Tarik and Zachary, between the two mates she have, one would pled and bring destruction, and while the other thrive for the fate that were stolen—deprived mate that she may not have chosen. It was difficult. The thoughts are aren’t as great as they seems. To have a mate, two in fact may mean unconditional love that she may experience but if the price would be like that for them then Devon would wished upon to the moon Goddess that she haven’t given her a mate, if things would be like this.
  • Devon stared at her reflection. It mirrored the sadness on her eyes, which she continuously masked. She wore the facade as the second flesh, but she knew it won’t be too long before Zachary would be able to peer close at her. He is her mate after all, and it wouldn’t be a secret on him what Devon felt deeply inside her heart.
  • She sighs as she walked past from the vanity mirror across the veranda. Devon was clad on a red dress, which barely reach her knees. It was short, and sleeveless with a few ripples on the chest. It left exposed her bare shoulders which the gentle kiss coming from the night breeze already made Devon to seek for the warmth she sought after.
