Chapter 101 THE BITTERNESS OF WAR

  • EMERY GRACE CONRAD’S POV
  • To feel the warmth of a pair of lips, and the strong arms against my already soaked body brought me comfort that last longer than I could imagine. Sparks flew, and danger were thrown out of the window as if I can ensure my safety although I didn’t know where all this are coming from. Had I been save? But by who?
  • “Emery…” Baritone voice urge me to woke up, and so I cough.
  • My chest is burning horribly from how long I’ve been underwater. But the strong urge to see who was it had given me strength to open my eyes, and slowly I did. The light coming from the moon blinded my eye sight. It took me a minute, before I figured out the silhouette on top of me. Black hair, and orbs that I felt like I’ve seen before.
  • With beat fluttering across, I felt the same hope again, but as the vagueness cleared, it wasn’t the one whom I was hoping for.
  • “Emery…” He calls again.
