Chapter 43 Angry Wife

• She pursed her lips before answering, "You should have told them no from the start. That's what I would have done."
• He smiled, walking closer and taking her hand. "You wouldn't understand, my dear wife. You see...."
• She held up her hand and walked away, saying to him whatever. She didn't want to hear it. He was drunk and attempting to smooth things over. She wasn't going to let this ruin her day. She dressed, putting on coveralls and the thick sweater she used for working. She didn't even stop to kiss him or say when she was coming back. The only words she spoke were by slamming the door behind her. She had taken the dirt bike she had finished working on yesterday when she returned home. Bianca thought she was going to be late until she came home and realized that he hadn't returned. She stayed up till one in the morning, then fell asleep in the center of the house, where they first had made love. Inside the ranch house, she was setting up her office where she could do her paperwork and have a system since she was doing this on her own. This is where she wished she had a brother or even a sister to help her out. However, she probably would still be working by herself. Most of the farm equipment had been repaired, and she managed to sell what she thought she wouldn't ever use. A few people heard what she could do, and already, there were a few brake jobs and engine repairs. The day was long, but it helped her forget about how angry she was with Gerrit. Later that day, she was underneath one of the trucks when she heard someone walking towards her. She thought at first it was Gerrit, but once she slid out from underneath the truck, she could see it was Mr. Welch. She hadn't heard that Gerrit had told him never to come back the last time he spoke to the man. Here he was, strolling up to Bianca and then handing over some paperwork. "We have unfinished business, Miss Morales. This land may have been left to you, but I, myself, along with the others, have never been given the chance to have what was owed to us. So here is the petition we filed in the courts, and we are more than willing to fight over this. You are going to need a very good lawyer."
