Chapter 16 Underneath The Skin

• Though the science behind their gear and weapons was further advanced than what the mortals could ever imagine, they still had to use precautions, given that they were not supposed to exist. Though some, like Natalya, carried blades or other ancient weapons, some refused to go back after having the advances of what had been invented. Though they were making more advances every day, they knew the humans would find out one day, and they had to be careful of how much of their secrets would be released. The soldiers, including Keane, were already seated in the plane that was taking them to Africa, though not all of them were going to Pyramids, so they had other missions. Still, everyone would be picked up in Istanbul, Turkey. Gabriel and Caleb were flying in the cockpit, but others were taking either naps or reviewing their files before it went time. No one here would need a parachute. However, they would be entering dangerous territory, not knowing what awaited the one group heading to the Congo. Those who were going to Egypt were very few, but they wouldn't need many to go in there and get out. Natalya took out her bag and put everything she believed she would need, including what her sister advised her to take. They were over their drop zone when she and others were leaping out of the plane. Gabriel and Caleb were not going, for they were taking Keane and the other thirteen others to the Congo and then heading back to base camp. Gabriel excused himself right before Natalya jumped out, "Glenn knows the way back to Istanbul. Just come back in one piece."
