Chapter 29 Kiss

For a moment, she was lost in his eyes. There was something about him as if she had known him before. She didn't know what it was, but for a moment, she forgot about being a klutz or that a handsome cowboy was right across from her. Whatever it was, she couldn't help but give him a kiss on his full lips. Realizing what she had done, she stopped and tried to stand up to put some distance between them, but it was as though invisible hands had grabbed her foot and she lost her step, only this time she didn't fall completely he caught her with lightning speed. "Quick reflex," she gushed, feeling so many things at once, but the feeling of stupidity was at the top of her list.
"It's nothing. I just...you know, sometimes we lose our balance."
He smiled at her, and she couldn't help but smile back. "Yeah, well, maybe I should get this cleaned up before it gets too late."
