Chapter 27 Where The Curse All Started

  • He finally had to admit to himself that it wasn't the fact she didn't come back home, but she wasn't here when they and when he needed her the most. Rather than blaming the one who had kidnapped his fiancee, he truly was taking it out on Natalya. Natalya could feel the anger leaving her brother as she spoke calmly and lightly, "I still love you, brother, like the day you were trying to learn to climb and were about to fall. I caught you, and I didn't let you fall. I wasn't here to catch you like I did then. I am sorry for that, and I hope you and Santiago will forgive me one day. I am here and will not let you or anyone else fall. I know what I did was wrong, and I will try to make it right, however long it takes.
  • He finally returned a hug while remembering when he was very young, how she protected them when mom and dad weren't around. He had learned a lot for his older sister, remembering all the stories she made up when they couldn't go to sleep. She was like a second mom to them when they were children. He hugged his sister in return and had to realize that she couldn't always be the go-to when he was angry. She had a life just as he had one. With a genuine voice, he finally said how sorry he was to his big sister, who was the shortest one of the litter, but she, regardless, was the one they leaned on when they were growing up. She got back up and helped her brother get back to his feet. Even Ramirez had calmed down now that he knew his brother wasn't an asshole to their sister. Even though Ramirez was the youngest of the triplets, he was the more mature of the three.
  • "Okay, enough of this lovey-dovey shit; we got to get back to the house." She said with a smile; all three of them started out walking towards the mansion, but it ended up being a race when their father came outside to see what was going on. Natalya was letting her two brothers lead, letting them believe they were going to beat her. However, with a burst of energy, she leaped ahead of them, knocking them down and taking the lead and winning by reaching the door first. Her father cracked a smile, "That was cheating Natalya."
