Chapter 18 Never Say Goodbye

• Caleb sighed momentarily and finally said what he hadn't before, "We lost communication with Keane's team. Our last transmission was the last time we heard from him or his team. No one has been able to get the other site, either. It seems as though we lost communication with that area because no one has been able to get us a visual of the area. There is more as well. Some information had come back from the laboratory. However, because of the complications we are experiencing, I thought it best we keep some of the information here until we can further investigate exactly what we are dealing with. I don't think we should alert anyone without having more information to back it up."
• Gabriel began spreading the files out in front of him when raising an eyebrow toward Caleb, "What's this?"
• Caleb fixing another coffee for himself having his back to Gabriel, "Samples taken from the camel came in quicker than the ones from the humans, which is interesting. I thought the camel had been eaten, but the animal wasn't eaten. Instead, it was ripped in half. The slashed wounds are not from a weapon or any claws known to us. It's too perfect, too clean of an impossible wound. Yet here it is, right in front of us."
