Chapter 86

  • Casper standing there, challenging Luc, hit me square in the gut. I had forgotten about Casper in the midst of the chaos and revelation, and now he was standing in front of us, chest heaving and fangs lowered, ready to fight his brother. Luc's grip tightened around my wrist, and he dragged me behind him protectively.
  • I tried to object, but it was futile. They were like two territorial predators who had collided and were now preparing for a fight to the death. Whatever humanity or reason they had had moments before had vanished, replaced by animalistic aggression... which was bad, especially for Luc.
