• I heard Nico say the words, but my brain couldn't or wouldn't understand what he was saying. How could I face the dreadful possibility that Luc was the true murderer? I clutched Nico's arm, my world spinning around me. He snatched me into his arms before I collapsed on the floor in a heap.
