Chapter 82
- More snow fell as heavy, thick clouds rolled in from the Pacific. I had previously wondered why the streets were deserted, and now I knew why: we were expecting a snowstorm. As the snow clouds loomed over Port Cressida, the sky brightened with a pinkish hue, and a light flurry of snow carried by the stronger wind blew past my passenger window. This type of weather could work in our favor or against us.
- Jacques looked up at the sky, concerned. "This doesn't look good; isn't there anything you can do, Casper?"
- "No, there's nothing I can do with such a massive storm. We will have to work through it, Jacques."
