Chapter 80

• Jacques looked at me as if I had a third eye in the middle of my forehead. He couldn't believe what I was saying, and I couldn't believe it either. Kidnapping Luc was a crazy idea with a high chance of failure, but it was the only option we had because we were stuck between a rock and a hard place. There were only two other options for me. First, I could go back to Luc and try to explain everything to him without any evidence to back up my claims. Or I could stay here with Casper and see how long it takes for Luc to snap and kill everyone.
• "I know it's crazy, but it's our best chance," I said, raking my hands through my hair.
• Jacques burst out laughing "Are you joking with me? What are we going to do, hit him over the head with a large stick and drag him away in a sack? Come on, Mia, we couldn't possibly kidnap him. He's called the Prince of Darkness for a reason; he's far too powerful for us to handle on our own, and even if we could, there's no way we'd be able to approach him without being swarmed by his entire army of guards! It'd be impossible."
