Chapter 16

• The students in the gym were gossiping about me. I could feel their gaze on me, judging me. I hadn't moved from where Jack had made a scene and stormed away moments before. I tried to compose myself while standing still, but instead I kept hearing snippets of conversations from whispering students.
• "I heard that sub-lecturer was looking for her during that thunderstorm the other day..."
• "I've always wondered how she got such good grades..."
