Chapter 94 Her Awakening

• Katty’s POV
• “Yes I am sure!” I responded to Turner’s question. I didn’t want to have to repeat everything to him later and I also needed him there for comfort. His presence meant a lot to me. I sat straight and turned to look at my mother. I briefly glanced at the man she told me was my father, that’s if I wasn’t dreaming because I still couldn’t grasp the whole situation. I cleared my throat and everyone’s eyes turned on  me. “I don’t know if I was dreaming or not, mother, but can you clarify what you said to me in the King’s office?” I said looking at my mother. She shifted uncomfortably, straightened her back and looked at me.
• “Kat baby, Mayi is my mate and your father and you are also a lion. Just like your father, you are pure lion and pure witch. You are not only a pure lion but a special one, because you are a jade lioness which is a rare and powerful lion,” she said and her eyes told me that she wasn’t joking, that she was being sincere. ‘Me? A lioness? How? I don’t feel like I have a lion living inside of me,’ I mused inside me. “How do you know I am one if you’ve never seen me shift? I mean, I don’t feel like one,” I asked matter of factly. I saw Turner through the corner of my eye nodding in agreement. I had briefly caught his puzzled look earlier on when my mother repeated that his witch of a mate was also a lioness. His facial expression had a mixture of surprise, unbelief and joy as I saw a tiny smile curl up on his lips.
