• It had been more than two months since we started hiding in Badosa. So much had happened, but the most thrilling discovery was that my witch sister was actually a lioness like us. It was overwhelming and exciting all at once.
• I was out scouting the land with Lance and Nelly. The place was filled with strange, beautiful species of flowers and plants unlike anything found on Earth. Their colors were mesmerizing—teal, deep burgundy, mauve, tan, azure, rust, coral, cyan—shades you rarely see naturally, mostly man-made blends of original hues on earth. The scents were equally captivating.
