• I spent the entire day replaying Victor’s words in my head. The more I tried to make sense of them, the more tangled and confusing they became. A hidden soul? A masked identity? What did any of that even mean?
• Kenneth had spent the morning with me, but as always, duty called. He was summoned by the elders for some kind of leadership council, leaving me alone in the room. Aside from a maid bringing me food occasionally, I didn’t interact with anyone all day. The silence felt heavy. Too heavy.
