• I spent the next couple of weeks training with my father. He told me I didn’t need to go through the same basic training as everyone else—my lioness would be ready to protect and fight for me whenever needed. During this time, we grew close, and I came to realize just how alike we were. I was the spitting image of my mother, but in every other way, I was my father’s daughter.
