• I was grateful—more than I would ever admit out loud—that I had received the report from the IT team just in time. They informed me that the annoying Senator Barry, who had never hidden his dislike for me, had made a call to someone in our kingdom who he clearly trusted.
• Through that call, his informat had told him that we had “visitors.” He asked about the Jade Lioness, but instead was told only about the white one. That information alone made me tighten security. Clearly there were traitors amongst us.
