Chapter 83 The Training

  • Nelly’s POV
  • Dinner that night was absolutely divine. The aromas of roasted meat, freshly baked bread, and spiced wine filled the great hall, mingling with the faint fragrance of lilies that always seemed to linger wherever the royal family went. The feast alone was enough to remind me that, for the first time, I was truly living as a royal — not by title alone, but in experience. The warmth of the hall, the music of string instruments, and the laughter echoing around the long table made me feel like I finally belonged somewhere.
  • For once, I felt free — free to breathe, to laugh, and to just be myself without constantly looking over my shoulder in fear of who might be watching or plotting. The only tiny problem was my aura. My royal energy, mixed with my witch’s aura, made me appear far more intimidating than I intended. I could sense it in the way the maids’ hands trembled slightly whenever they poured my drink or adjusted my chair. Their eyes would dart away quickly, like I might cast a spell on them if they stared too long.
