Chapter 50 The Lion Temple

  • Margaret’s POV
  • I was petrified about that giant. He dared call me cutie? However, one thing that kept recurring was these people kept calling Lance a prince. Was he really a prince or was that a nickname? “Lance, can I ask you something?” Lucy asked him. “Yes princess, go ahead.” He said halting his steps. “I know I asked you this before but you denied it but I still want to ask again. I’ve heard you being called prince three times now. Are you a prince?” she asked and I nodded to show I also want to know. He looked up, sighed heavily and just when he was about answering a voice called him from ahead of us. We all looked from the direction it came. We had approached the boarder to the Lion kingdom in the magic land. “Yes Teto?” he responded. “The Ki… I mean you are being summoned back home. It’s urgent.” The boy who I assume his name is Teto said. Lance was a bit mysterious. Was he somehow hiding his identity? “Okay Teto. This is Princess Lucy with her mother Princess Margaret. Please escort them from now onwards. They have an instruction to stop by the temple then take them to the palace. If you encounter a problem with the guards, mind link me I’ll come. We then walked together to the boarder where we crossed without any problems. Lance parted ways with us as he shifted into a massive golden fur lion and took off.
  • Teto took us to the Lion temple, which wasn’t that far from the boarder. It was breathtakingly beautiful. A massive statues of different gods and goddesses associated with the werelions we all over the place. There was the statue of queen of the gods known as Hera who immortalized the Nemean Lion slayed by Hercules into the constellation of Leo, there was a statue of the Egyptian deity Sekhmet who had a lion head, of the moon goddess herself, known as the mother of all Were animals. “She is as beautiful as I saw her!” Lucy said caressing the statue. “You saw her?” I asked her. “Yes I did. In my dream, she is the one who told me I wasn’t who I’m meant to be.” She said and I stood there stunned. Wow! Teto showed us around and we did the ritual prayer Marlena told us to do and we left. After we were done, we went to Teto who was waiting for us to take us to the palace. We got on the foot trek along the river. I didn’t think the palace would be far away from the temple considering that in most places, the temple is usually next to the Pride house. After a little bit of walking, a beautifully breathtaking sight of the castle appeared ahead of us. “Wow! Is that the palace?” Lucy asked Teto. He nodded. It was a beautiful sight to behold. “Awesome!” I said. As we approached the palace, we saw different people or should I say lions in this case, come and go out of the place. Some frowned at us. I guess because we smell like lions?
