• Not that I owed anyone an explanation, but I still felt I should tell Kenneth the truth. He sat down on my bed, eyes fixed on me with an expression I couldn’t quite read. I remained standing for a while, unable to settle, though strangely I didn’t feel intimidated by his glare. When our eyes locked, he broke the silence.
