• A day later, we began flying the rest of the warriors to our temporary base in the Northern Kingdom. Most of them had already been shipped there a week in advance, and some of our spies from Badosa and the Eastern Kingdom were already on the ground, assessing the terrain and the preparedness of Donald and his forces.
• I couldn’t help wondering how he had taken the defeat of the cows. We had eliminated the possibility of him having spies in the West, so I was sure he hadn’t received any reports from our people—unless there were some remaining minotaurs hiding somewhere who had managed to escape my scrutiny.
