• Thomas’s news had been shocking, though not entirely impossible to believe. Still, I couldn’t shake off the lingering amazement. The idea that someone could be fully werelion and fully witch was something out of myth, and yet it had just walked into our lives as if it were the most ordinary thing. It made me wonder—how many more of us were living in plain sight, hiding our true nature behind a veil of magic or illusion? How many supernaturals were roaming among us, masked so perfectly that we never even suspected them?
