• Shortly after I heard Kenneth Jr. and Lucy’s car leave the castle, I got up and took a shower. We were set to leave with Kenneth Senior and Mayi, and unlike Kenneth Jr., we wouldn’t be traveling by road or air—we were going to teleport.
• After dressing, I bent over to kiss my mate, who was still asleep like a log. Honestly, waking her was like trying to wake the dead; even the loudest noises barely made her stir. I chuckled quietly and left her to her peaceful slumber.
