• To say I didn’t understand Pat these days would be an understatement. I was completely confused by her moods. I was starting to reconsider whether I should even stay friends with her. Sometimes she came across as pompous, other times humble. Sometimes she seemed angry at me, then suddenly indifferent—talking to me one moment and barely acknowledging my existence the next.
