Chapter 93
- While I was at home, pacing from one end of the room to the other, I couldn't stop thinking about Kayler or Rafael. I needed to know. It was past midnight, 2:30 am to be exact. I hadn't slept at all during this whole ordeal. Mom was already asleep, luckily she didn't notice that I had come in Kayler's car or she would have bombarded me with questions.
- I was wearing pajama shorts, a tank top, and my socks. I was barefoot and my hair was tied up in a messy bun. I felt restless and desperate to know about him. I'm not saying that Rafael doesn't deserve whatever Kayler did to him, but I don't approve of violence. Kayler can be very violent when he's angry and he can't control the size of his strength or anger in the moment.
- If only I knew where they had been for a while, I would have gone there. I resigned myself to waiting for him, even though I needed answers he didn't come. I sighed deeply and started climbing the stairs heavily; I felt powerless. Even though I knew I wouldn't sleep at all, I would at least try to lie down for a while.
