Chapter 306

  • "No, definitely not. I'm not the kind of man who goes from one person to another, nor am I attracted to others. When I notice someone, it's just that one person and no one else. I don't need to be involved with more than one woman. I think up to now, and it's nothing to be proud of, a man should understand the way I feel. I wanted to make it clear that I wasn't the typical man who flirts around. I believe one woman is enough for the rest of my life, even if that seems absurd or childish to another man, it was important to me to make it clear.
  • At that moment, we walked towards a fast food establishment. The place was quite empty, which I appreciated because I didn't like going to crowded places, especially during meal times. It was uncomfortable to eat in front of others, not because they were watching me, but because I valued my privacy. The establishment had many tables and a bar, with fans at the ends providing some ventilation. The place felt warm and the atmosphere was good. I also liked the type of music playing. I thought we had chosen a good place and I believed we would have a good time. That's what I was thinking, hoping that things would go as planned. However, if there was a margin of error, there was no need to worry because I was used to it, and things didn't always go exactly as planned.
  • Upon entering, we sat at a corner table where the fan was blowing directly at us. She sat across from me and I felt a bit uncomfortable being in front of her. We hadn't even exchanged a single word yet. Maybe she was regretting coming here, that was the impression I got because she hadn't said a word since we arrived. I had to do something to break the ice at that moment and dispel the thoughts and assumptions I had, or else I would get bored of the situation.
