Chapter 34

  • Holy shit.
  • This can't be happening. This can't be true. Damn it. I was paralyzed watching those two huge wolves fight, and the worst part is that one of them was Kayler. It's the same wolf that always defended me, that has saved me more than once, it's him. No wonder when he looked at me, that look seemed very familiar to me. Now I understand everything. Now I know his secret. And what hurts the most is that he didn't have the courage to tell me, he didn't have enough trust.
  • He lied to me, he always has, even when I told him I didn't like lies, did he lie to me about other things? Is everything Paige told me true? Is what the guy today told me also true? Am I his next victim? I felt the tears starting to come out, I can't keep watching. I tried to move but my legs wouldn't respond. I was in total shock. I watched as my wolf, I mean, Kayler, bit the other wolf several times. He whimpered in pain and fell to the ground, ears back, giving up. Kayler stopped in front of him, panting, gave him one last warning in a growl to leave us alone and ran off into the forest. A solitary tear ran down my cheek. Disappointment. That's what I feel. Kayler is a werewolf? Does that exist? How? It seems that doubts still linger. I discovered a part of the story, the main part, but this is not over. It's just the beginning.
