• "Frederick is coming this way," Kayler announced, packing the suitcases. It wasn't right to lie to him, but I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that he was chasing after Darla. He says to trust him, but why does it have to be her? What does she have to do with him... with us?
• I put away my phone and tried to relax a bit. I'm not the queen of lies, but I had to do something so he wouldn't suspect.
• "And... why is he coming?" I pretended to look at the lamps in the house.
