Chapter 69
- "Are you okay?" Kayler's voice in my ear makes me look at him immediately. Is he joking, right? This is huge. The walls are a deep red color, the lockers are black, and all (many) students are coming and going, laughing and looking at us strangely. I admit it feels like the first day of university. Just bigger and all.
- "Of course, I'm fine," I lied. The truth is, I felt self-conscious. So many people. Each of them has something special, right? Maybe they are wizards, wolves, vampires, or other things that I have no idea about. We followed Peter to the end of the hallway where there were some stairs. We climbed the stairs and reached the second floor. Upstairs was the same, not as crowded but there were still students coming out of classrooms and others going in.
- Peter stopped at a door, I assume it was the principal's office, and knocked twice. Seconds later, the door opened. A girl with a tablet in hand smiled at us.
