Chapter 20

• As soon as I saw Kayler get into his car and drive off, followed by the other guys, Anne and I headed to hers. I sat in the passenger seat as she started the car. We had to drive slowly and at a fairly long distance so they wouldn't suspect anything. They were far ahead now, and I believe I'll be able to find out a lot of things, which puts me in a good mood. I just hope that whatever I'm going to find out doesn't ruin my relationship with Kayler.
• "Now you're going to tell me," Anne commented. "Why are we following them? If they notice, Carolina, we won't find out anything and we'll get into trouble," she concluded.
• "They won't notice," I replied. "And what we need to find out is why they always skip classes together and never say where they're going or what they're doing. If they do say something, it's always about a project. I don't believe them at all, something tells me there's more to it." I sighed. "Besides, I think those wolves have something to do with all of this."
