- "Nothing ever happens, there's always something getting in the way," Anne commented as she ate her burger. She's right, I never seem to find out anything, something always happens at the crucial moment. Maybe I'm just about to uncover the truth and bam! Interruption.
- I took a deep breath. It was Monday, we were sitting at our usual table, Kayler had brought me my lunch, and he hadn't left my side since yesterday. I haven't been able to contact Paige, but I have a feeling she'll come to me on her own.
