Chapter 193

• It opened!
• I smiled with excitement at the feeling of freedom close by. I went out into the hallways, it was like an abandoned police station or something. I didn't stay to keep seeing things that didn't appeal to me, but hurried to run through the lonely and eerie hallways. I've never believed in ghosts and such, but you never know. An abandoned police station, in the darkness, lightning illuminating every minute, completely alone. And scared. Not a good combination. Sometimes your sight betrays you.
• I hurried down some stairs as fast as I could, stumbling on the final step and falling face down on the floor. Luckily, I was able to cushion the blow that would have hit me. There were papers on the floor, papers of cases and such. Another time I would have stopped to look at them but today was not that day, I had no interest in them at all.
