Chapter 16

• I stood still in the same place, looking around; that howl sounded close. Damn it. This only happens to me. I am alone, in the middle of nowhere, with wolves around. I looked back in the direction of the car, maybe I can drive back home but is it dangerous? I checked my phone to see if I could call mom but... just my luck! No signal.
• I heard footsteps to my left, I turned to look immediately. It's dark. I see nothing. My chest rises and falls rapidly. I tried to calm down.
• "You shouldn't be here."
