• "God, my head hurts," Connor complains next to me. We were sitting in the living room of the house watching some program on television. Thomas and Connor had come with me. Dad was still asleep and the other guys from the pack were in the guest rooms. The house was huge enough for an entire pack. And that's what we were.
• "Considering how much you drank yesterday, it's obvious," Thomas replies, finishing getting dressed.
