• I open my eyes very carefully, realizing that I am not in my apartment. I am in a living room lying on the couch, and someone is next to me as well. I look in that direction, and I can breathe easy seeing Carolina there, asleep.
• I grimace in pain as I feel a tremendous headache. Where am I? And then memories come flooding back to me: Clara, Carolina, and I going to the party at the lake, the three of us drinking, dancing, saying silly things, wanting to go into the lake, and finally Kayler and Connor.
