• Things had been a bit strange lately, although they denied it, something deeper was happening with my friends, especially with James. I could clearly see that something was bothering him, like a sword and armor, but I didn't understand where he got them from. Also, this new guy, Charlie, seemed to have some hidden agenda. It seemed like they were all conspiring to keep the truth from me. I was in my room, feeling uneasy. All these thoughts made me grateful for each person who comforted me. I knew danger was lurking, that's why they were trying to avoid me, to keep me out of harm's way, as I was just a simple human and they seemed to have powers that I didn't know about. I felt especially bad about Astrid, as we had been inseparable friends since kindergarten. She was supposed to trust me with everything, but all she had done so far was keep quiet. I had to talk to her seriously. I couldn't just stand by and watch everything happening right in front of me. All this time, I felt like a fool, someone who only knew how to go to university with them and pretend that everything was fine. But clearly, they were mistaken about me. They would realize things when I confronted them and told them the truth.
