• Cainan woke Jasmin up at the early hours of the morning with a soft "Merry Christmas, sweetheart" in her ears before kissing her neck.
• They had gone to bed at almost midnight last night and so her eyes stung as she peeled them open at his words and when she asked him what time it was, he replied four a.m.
• She shifted around to face him with her eyes dimmed and she cupped his face in her hands, asking him why he was even awake. He told her he had woken up to ease himself and lost his sleep afterwards and when she inquired if he wanted to be cuddled, he eagerly nodded. She wrapped her small arms around him, and kissed his hair, mumbling "Merry Christmas, Cainan," to him in return and not so long after, her eyes closed.
