Barely one hour into the party and the small hall rented for the event was filled up with the guests. The Abayomis’ family and friends were not so few, and over twenty-five people were present and awaiting Ada, the celebrant, and Donald Abayomi, her husband.
The lightning of the hall aided by the purple crystal balls hanging around it gave the hall a sophisticated appearances. The touch of rose and crystal designs decoration started from the door to the end of the hall.
All the women wore red gowns each uniquely created, while the men wore black suits and red ties.
Lisa, the lead organiser of the and party, was in a red mini gown and a four-inch silver heel, her golden skin making her look breathtaking in the dress. She invited Andrew Smith, the cook, and Jasmin’s partner at the restaurant to the party as her date. The two met two weeks ago when she stayed with Jasmin’s at her apartment and she had been taking more than martial art and cooking classes from him. No one could ignore their fondness for each other or their chemistry.
Daniel was present with his arms snaked around his date, Belle, a tall, twenty-seven-year-old architect, whom he met a few days earlier and the couple couldn’t stop smiling at each other.
Remi was at the corner of the hall in a red cocktail dress and black boots, and beside her stood Marc in a black suit and tie. Remi's attention fixated on her phone to notice Marc gawking at her with eyes conflicted with both pain and anger.
