It was their first time since their years of practice that a pup lived up to three months. Because of that, I was their favorite she-wolf, for the first time in a long while, I tested luxury. But things started turning bad when they wanted to turn me into a breeding machine. They brought in alpha males to mate with me every night. According to them, they said it would be better if I had a lot of strong alpha genes in me, and should I take in again, it would make the baby’s genes a lot stronger to take in the chemicals. But I couldn’t live like that, I was not even allowed to see my son, or touch him. All I know about him is that he has white hair and grey eyes, just like every pup born in that laboratory. But because he was the only one who survived, he was constantly under lock. One night, there was a fire. I saw an opportunity, and I took it.”

• Susan nodded, “It wasn’t easy, but because they are after saving their research and the pregnant wolves, they didn’t come after me immediately. I was able to make it to town, and a nice couple took me in. I was in their house when I found out I was pregnant; however, the pregnancy didn’t last. I had miscarried, and I was happy I did because I don’t even know who the father is. I was still hiding with the couple when I heard the news of my parents' deaths. Aiden had killed them because he thought they were hiding me. I told the couple what happened, and they arranged to adopt me as their daughter. They had a daughter my age who died a few months before they met me. But for fear of Aiden finding me, they sent me here, to the North. I was to live with their friend, Sebastian’s parents. It was two weeks after I came here that there was a party, and I went with them, that was when I saw your father, and found out he was my mate.”
