Chapter 124
- Shawn carried Alicia to the bed. She had been so tired that she fell asleep right in the bath. He had rinsed her off and dried her body, then helped her put on her nightwear. He gently climbed into the bed beside her and held her in his arms. She looked so petite and like in his arms was where she belonged, and indeed, it was true. She was his, and will always be his. His eyes went to the mark on her neck, and his eyes darkened. He wondered if Theo had sent his message and why Leo hadn’t rejected her. Could it be that he wanted to see him? Shawn’s eyes glinted with a dangerous light; maybe he wanted him to visit, indeed. Guess he should prepare to leave in the morning. The trip to the Eastern region takes twenty-four hours by flight and days by road trip. But if he should use his private jet, it would take him twenty hours at most to arrive in the east.
- He reached for his phone on the nightstand and sent Theo a message. The reply came soon after, and Theo confirmed that he had sent Leo an email three hours ago. Which means that he had gotten the warning, and the fact that Alicia still bears his mark proves that he was expecting him. Shawn grinned. Perhaps this would all end soon. He sent a message to Theo to get the jet on standby, as they may leave for the East tomorrow morning. Theo’s reply showed that he was feeling the same killing intent as Shawn. They both can’t wait for tomorrow or for when they will land in the East. Shawn found himself hoping that Leo had some bones in his body; it would be dissatisfying if he couldn’t even hold a good fight with him.
- He placed his phone back on the nightstand and scooped Alicia into his arms once more. She moaned, and the sound reacted on his body, but he knew she was tired, and he wouldn’t want to wear her out more by making her satisfy his need. He reached up and yanked the hairband holding his hair off. The black hair sprawled on his pillow, but he didn’t mind and forced himself to sleep without doing anything to Alicia.
