• After settling in the council, Alicia and the rest left as they came. Inside the car, Alicia stared at the window, her fingers kept clenching and unclenching as she thought of Dan. She really wished, really hoped that Donald had allowed her the chance to kill him herself, honestly, nothing would have made her happier, nothing.
• Amelia stared at her and sighed. The car was even more silent now than when they were coming. She heaved another sigh and stared out the window. She couldn’t say that she understood what Alicia was going through, after all, her parents were alive, and she didn’t have any siblings. Well, she does, she has two half sisters, but the issue with their mothers and their father prevented them from being close. Not like Amelia wouldn’t have wanted to, she could remember how she used to run after her older sister when she was little, but she always pushed her away and called all sorts of names until her mother told her to stop going to her. Then her little sister was born, although still carrying the pain her older sister gave her, she had made up her mind to be good to her younger sister if she ever came to her, but alas, she never did. The two sisters lived like she didn’t exist.
