Chapter 128
- Alicia stood in the balcony staring at the beautiful garden below her. Donald had promised to hear her out, but what should she suggest? What would be her case? Should she demand that Leo should be killed on sight? But that won’t be enough. Simply killing Leo wouldn’t calm her raging heart. What good is it to just kill him when his family is alive? No, besides, if it was to kill him, she would love to be the one to do it. Not Donald, not Shawn, and definitely not the council. She would love to look Leo in the eye as she rips him to shreds. But would that be enough? Would that satiate her pain?
- She closed her eyes as a lone tear ran down her cheek. She thought of her mother, how she had reacted when Leo had offered to marry her. What would her mother had down had she found out that Leo was in cahoot with Dan? What would her mother had down had she found out that while she was crying her out and Leo was comforting her, that Dan was hiding in his house? What would she had done had she found out that Dan safely left their pack because Leo guided him? What would she had done had she found out that Leo had introduced Dan to Allister as his friend, despite suspecting that Dan was an assassin?
- Alicia laughed. Her laughter was pained as she thought of different scenarios that happened after the deaths of her brothers and father. She thought of how Leo had behaved, how caring he was, looking after her and her mother. She thought of how boldly Allister called him his best friend. She thought everything, from both growing up and becoming and adult. Leo, Leo was always there, Leo was like a fourth brother to her before her feelings for him developed. There was nothing concerning her childhood that Leo wasn’t a part of. And all long, he had been thinking of a way to take over the pack, and her family’s business. And his reason? Just because her father was dating his mother in their teenage years. Hah.
