Chapter 125
- The door opened, and Selina sighed upon seeing Leo passed out on his desk. She had waited for him to come to their room last night and eventually fell asleep. Upon waking up, she was surprised to see that he wasn’t in the room with her, and his side of the bed was cold, meaning he didn’t just get up. She knew the only place to look for him was in his study, and so she went straight there. Now seeing him still asleep, she wondered if something had happened last night to keep him in the study. She slowly approached him, not to wake him up, and then softly caressed his hair. She stared at the laptop in front of her and sighed. She turned to leave, but stopped in the last minute. She woke up the laptop and, knowing his password, she casually punched it in.
- An email message filled the screen as soon as the password was entered, and seeing the content, Selina frowned. She leaned over a little and carefully read the message. The more she read, the angrier she became. After reading the name of the sender, she sighed and stood straight, her hand softly caressing her baby bump as she stared at the sleeping Leo. She had told him to reject Alicia after she left the pack that time, and he claimed that he did. So, what was this message? Why was Theodore threatening him with the name of the Shadow Lord? She was angry; she could feel Bella’s anger as well, but she managed to keep them both calm and left the room.
- As soon as the door closed, Leo opened his eyes. He had woken up when she had caressed his hair, but didn’t feel like talking to her and so pretended to be still asleep, hoping she would leave. He had let out an inaudible sigh when she turned to leave at first, and when she turned to his laptop, he knew what she was going to find. He contemplated waking up at that moment and stopping her, but Selina was too sharp. If he had done that, she would have thought he was hiding something more serious, so the only option was to let her find it, and after he would apologize to her.
